Question Description
Have you searched the community for related issues?
Please describe the problem you’ve encountered in detail :
Description:
My test has been made on my Raspberry Pi 4B with 2Gb ram.
I tried to install FydeOS SBC on a USB 3.0 Pendrive, but it doesn’t work: the screen seems to react with the backlight, but nothing happens and still remain black.
I tried with Rufus, BalenaEtcher, Raspberry Pi Imager: nothing has worked :-/
Maybe is there something I missed to do?!
Thank you for any kind advice!
Alberto

Have you checked the integrity of the image? And have you tried booting from other devices (e.g., an SD card)?

I have an update: I connected one of the RPI HDMI output to a monitor, and after about 3 minutes:
on the external HDMI Monitor it appears an unfocused image on the screen, similar to the pale yellow wallpaper;
on the monitor connected to DSI cable there’s no image and still remain black backlighted.
At this point RPI:
doesn’t get any input from touchscreen, mouse or keyboard
the pointer doesn’t appear.
To check if the hardware/firmware was ok, I also tried to boot:
with a RPI OS USB Stick: it worked fine
with Chromium OS: it freezes on the “circular coloured rainbow” on the display and the internal green light flashes 7 times
with FydeOS v20: it does the same as v21, but the unfocused image
is pale cyan
Any suggestion?

Please check the Raspberry Pi Notes in the release notes to see if it helps.

Thank you so much!
This explains why the HTMI monitor doesn’t work correctly:
I’ll disconnect the HDMI monitor
I’ll go on with the DSI display.
On the other hand, the DSI touch monitor still remain:
active but black (except for a pale reaction 1 second after the power on, and a white flash after 2 seconds)
insensitive to the touch
without any logo, pointer or textual prompt.
At the boot time, the two led on the board are:
red: still
green: flashes and blinks as it is doing something
but nothing happens.
Could it be that a 2Gb RAM is too small for the OS initial configuration?
Is there any control I can do on log files?
Or must I wait for a longer time, till the configuration completion?
Thanks!

Unfortunately, the 2GB model doesn’t meet our minimal requirements.
