Android VPN handling is broken in FydeOS 23

Have you searched the community for related issues?

Description:
Installed Hiddify VPN, then tried to connect to configured destination.

Expected: to see VPN permission dialog and grant the permission.

Actual result:

Error text:
ActivityNotFoundException: Unable to find explicit activity class {com.android.vpndialogs/com.android.vpndialogs.ConfirmDialog}

Then I installed ExpressVPN and ProtonVPN and got errors with no any visible error message.

Does fyDroid subsystem indeed miss above mentioned Classes?

I am having the same issue trying to run Proton VPN on a FydeTabDuo.

It’s also complaining about needing permission but the usual window to grant it never comes up. (I can’t show you what comes up since I’m not allowed more than one screenshot, it seems.)

We’re already working on a fix for the VPN issue, and it will be included in the upcoming SP1 release.

At the moment of speaking; it seems the only way to use VPN on FydeOS v.23 is to install them through chrome web store as an extension and then enable them.
