    (1) Specific questions

    A: Is there a need to install vmware tools when using vmware player install, i.e. to improve integration and/or performance? Along those same lines would assigning more memory at the vmware player setup above the FydeOS-VMware-v15.0-Preview1.ova configured 4gb expected to make any difference?

    (2) Specific configuration and firmware version

    • CPU: i7-1250u
    • GPU: intel iris xe
    • RAM & ROM: dell xps 13 9315 uefi version 1.4.0
    • FydeOS Version: 15.0

    (3) Detailed logs
    To get the logs, type /var/log/messages in the Chromium browser and locate the relevant log fragment to show here.

Not an essential act, FydeOS VM runs fine without VMware Tools.

Thank you Alpha, but the font quality and aspect ratio is poor on my VMWare machine. Is there a way to install the VMWare Tools manually?

unfortunately, no. VMTools for Linux isn’t designed for the graphics stack that FydeOS/ChromiumOS uses
