I have installed fydeOS v17.1. I had to complete the installation over ethernet cable. I am not sure what the NIC of this laptop is. The link https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c04536424 tells the following: Wireless Connectivity 802.11b/g/n (1x1) and Bluetooth 4.0 combo
I hope this information will be enough for fixing the WiFi issue of my laptop.
