Can you link me to a guide on how to create a usb bootable device?

Want to try out FydeOS [under Virtualbox if possible] want to create a usb bootable device. I run Linux so tried using ‘dd’ to put .img file onto drive but it did not work.

Am wanting to try x86_64 image for now.

Is it possible to do this from command line or do I need to use something like Etcher?

Use etcher. Etcher has .deb and .rpm packages.

Am going to try intel version, but it will not work as a usb under Virtualbox… So will test on an old chromebook I have.
