To become certified with access to the play store you have to:
1 - Install a device ID apk to get this Device ID and register it on your google account.
2 - Register it here: https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/
3 - Give it a day till google approval happens. (Hours minutes or maybe 1 day not in our control).
4 - Reboot and on Android Settings try to add your google account - that should be it done for the play store to work and remember… reboot.
And also this can be done too however its better to yet the first post done which is the correct way.
After developer mode enabled do crosh (Open browser type ctrl alt t)
i searched the web when i ran into playstore issue. i am glad fydeos is using opengapps. ive always preferred open gaps package. saw this post after i got my play store to work with below method.
I’m using a FydeTab Duo from the Indiegogo campain and it is working fine so far. I’m still finding my way around FydeOS but I start enjoying it.
There is an annoying glitch with the Android subsystem and OTA updates of FydeOS: After each operating system update, Open GApps is no longer active and requests a reinstall. Google apps, such as the Play Store, keep complainig that Google services are missing, clogging the message area.
I can fix all this by reinstalling Open GApps and signing into my Google account again, but it is very annoying and should be automated by the FydeOS update process. I hope my request is feasable. Thanks in advance!
The Google Play Store requires appropriate licenses from Google for distribution. FydeOS does not have the right to distribute it. So after the system update, you have to reinstall Open Gapps. We can’t automate the installation for you. It’s not a technical issue, it’s a legal one.
Can you please tell me which Fyde OS version is stable for my low-end laptop because in Fyde OS 18 i face a lot of issues and like my Wifi is not working even if it’s on. I have connected it to my Ethernet but it is also not working for me it connects but disconnects itself then connects itself and then again disconnects itself. So, can you please tell me a stable version of fyde os to install.
My Laptop’s Specs:
Processor: Intel Celeron 2957 U
Ram: 12 GB Ram DDR3L 1600 MHz
Graphics Card: Intel HD graphics
HDD: 320 GB Hard Drive
Reply Please.
THANKS!

Hi. I’ve just installed v18.1 on a Raspberry Pi4 and all seems ok except. Gapps/Play Store
Firstly I don’t see the developer mode toggle in steering however I can still access the shell. Once in the shell I don’t see crossystem_mode-switch in /usr/sbin.
When I try to launch the play store it asks me to sign-in a large progress wheel starts to rotate and eventually hang.
my problem is accessing the shell, hitting the key combination CRTL + ALT + T is not doing anything and in the logs it seems crossystem_mode-switch is missing.
Its a ket combination not a text u write down.
So you open the chromium browser and press ctrl key + alt key + t
Crosh will pop up. But that command above u mentioned is for chromeOS not fydeos. Follow the first post guide it has it all explained.
If you are using openfyde u cant install google store.
If you are using fydeOS you can just follow the process.
well thank you for thinking I do not know what I am doing. As I wrote:
Chromium Browser is running, but the key combination CRTL + ALT +t is NOT working nothing pops up.
I have a surface Pro 8.
I did download the open_gapps-x86_64-9.0-stock-20220503.zip and will try to unzip and go with that. Because me Surface Pro 8 has an Intel chip installed, which is under AMD64 or x86_64 and not ARM processor
No I have not changed the key shortcuts.
But I have a bluetooth keyboard (there is another post becaus of no mouse pointer). That bluetooth keyboard is designed for Surface Pro 8 / X.
With powerwash I will reset everything and loose all the data correct? is there a way to check if Crosh is installed and up and running?
