I installed FydeOS on MSI Katana GF66 11UC 676VN laptop

Please describe the problem you’ve encountered in detail:

  • Description:
    I installed FydeOS on MSI Katana GF66 11UC 676VN laptop (i5-11400H, 16GB Ram, RTX3050) but the battery drains very quickly, the laptop only lasts about an hour, but with windows it lasts about 3 hours and 30 minutes. How do I fix this problem?, Is it related to my laptop’s BIOS ?

  • Hardware & System Configuration:
    • Processor: i5-11400H
    • Graphics Card(Please specify if there’s a discrete graphics card): RTX3050 (60W)
    • RAM: 16GB
    • FydeOS Version: v18.0-SP1

Try this and maybe it’s related to the Nvidia card which FydeOS does not support.

I know this issue, fydeos maximize all your hardware ( cpu, gpu, refresh rate,…). For example, i have i5 11300h with tdp around 35w, but in fydeos it is 64w ( ~ turbo mode on window). But luckily, your can control your hardware by terminal. After that, battery from 1h to 3h.

How can you control hardware by terminal?

My Laptop/Tablet have Processor(Coreâ„¢ i5-1135G7) and the fan starts spinning after a few minutes! In Windows i have about 3,5 hous in FydeOS less than 1 hour.
