Please describe the problem you’ve encountered in detail:

  • Description: It’s shows only black screen on 18 and 18.1 when i try to boot. 17.1 works but i want the newest update like everyone.

:computer:System & Device Information

  • Hardware & System Configuration:
    • Processor: Celeron J4125
    • Graphics Card(Please specify if there’s a discrete graphics card): UHD 600
    • RAM: 16GB
    • FydeOS Version: 17.1

Will there be any fix to install newest version?

I have the same problem. Etcher gets an error creating the USB boot drive. “Something went wrong. If it is a compressed image, please check that the archive is not corrupted. Connection to etcher-util failed”.
I checked the SHA256 code. It was correct. They must have bad images.

I’m using etcher 1.19.21. RUFUS created the USB, but it hung on startup and eventually rebooted.

I downgraded to Etcher 1.18 and 18.1 image to USB worked. Testing on my Acer Chromebook R11 now.
