Android subsystem kaputt after installing Open GApps requires disable-rootfs-verification

— Android Subsystem not working anymore after disable-rootfs-verification and installation of open GApps. how can i fix that, without powerwash?

  • Hardware & System Configuration: Microsoft Surface Pro 8

    • Processor: Intel 5 11th gen
    • Graphics Card(Please specify if there’s a discrete graphics card): Intel
    • RAM: 8GB
    • FydeOS Version: fydeOS for you (Surface Pro 8) 18.0-SP1

Let me reply to myself. doing a powerwash did not solve the problem with the Android Subsystem.
When I open Android and enable it (or more like try) as subsystem it just sits there with the ring spinning.
Next I will wipe it completely and do a clean install from scratch.
Not happy

and I did a clean installation of fydeOS 18 on my surface Pro 8 and the android subsystem is working. I will not change the necessary settings for installing open GApps. Just using APKpure instead.

Did you install Open Gapps manually instead of using the default setting?

no I installed via the icon, after I could disable_rootfs_verification.
