Chromebook Chrome OS 126 why no support

Why do you not allow installation on Chromebooks of fydeOS?
Acer Chromebook Spin 15 last final upgrade is for ChromeOS 126, so same version as fydeOS 19 (126) but it breaks if removing FS protection (root file system write permission).
Is this due to copyright issues you don’t allow it?

It’s not fydeos does not allow this. Chromebook has its own developer mode and it conflicts with fydeos’s.

I have also Acer Chromebook C720P & it works well with it, only problem with 2GB RAM is very slow.
It seems they changed the developer mode to stop the hacks.

Use v17 it supports developer mode out of box.

fydeOS v17 does not work with Acer Chromebook Spin 15 with ChromeOS, I tried, also it defeats the purpose of giving extra life to a deprecated Chromebook as it won’t be updated after ChromeOS 126.
That being said Acer CB C720P is a bit more workable with fydeOS v17.

Blame google for stop support your chromebook :face_with_peeking_eye: I guess after fydeos switch to secure mode to release, it will be more difficult for chromebooks to use fydeos. So, use Linux distros or buy a new Chromebook.
