Chromium crashes entire OpenFyde system when running

Please describe the problem you’ve encountered in detail:

  • Description: When the Chromium app is running in my OpenFyde r114-r4 system, it crashes the whole system for an unknown reason, especially when more than 2 tabs are open or when running Chromium in the background while running an Android app, but it can also crash randomly, though rarely. When Chromium crashes the system, the only way to go back to a working system is to force shutdown the device. I cannot update the system, as OpenFyde r120 does not have the required payload.bin file for an update, and OpenFyde r126 currently does not have the Android Subsystem, due to the major revisions, and I use Android apps. No other app crashes the whole system like Chromium is doing. How could I fix this?

    • RAM: 8GB
    • FydeOS Version:OpenFyde r114-r4

  • Relevant System Logs:

    • Open the Chromium browser and enter /var/log/messages to retrieve logs.
    • Log Details: There are no logs found.
