For anyone else trying to get this working on Surface Pro 1 (& probably 2 as well) - FydeOS For You build for Surface Pro 5 seems to be working pretty well. WiFi worked right out of the box. The only things I couldn’t get to work so far is Auto-Rotation & Tablet Mode - both I can live without.
Just wanted to re-post what I posted on here earlier. I had to delete my original community account as it was bugged. This service pack 1 fixed the last issue that was keeping me from switching from Brunch to FydeOS on my Surface Pro 5. I guess as @hacker said Google just doesn’t have time to fix a Surface Wifi issue. Why couldn’t Microsoft have used Intel wifi chips like everyone else.
I have issues with Auto Rotation on my Surface Pro 5. It will work after a fresh reboot and even after a short sleep. But if I leave it asleep for any length of time the auto rotate will no longer work.
Using fydesos v17.1 + huawei router has no problem. huawei router is using WPA/WPA2 mixed mode + aes, so you can have a try WPA/WPA2 mixed mode + AES when using other routers
Best fix for all wifi bt issues:
Buy an usb wifi/bt end of the story.
