Temporary Fix for Surface Wi-Fi Issues in v19

Recently, we’ve received reports from users experiencing issues where Surface devices display a “password incorrect” error when attempting to connect to Wi-Fi. After investigation, our technical team has identified that the issue is related to the Wi-Fi encryption method. We are actively working on a permanent fix.

Temporary Workaround

If you’re encountering Wi-Fi connection difficulties on your Surface device, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your router’s management interface.

  2. Locate the wireless security settings option.

  3. Change the encryption method from WPA2 or WPA3 to WPA/WPA2 mixed mode.

  4. Save the changes and try reconnecting your Surface device.

We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue.

This sadly didn’t work for me.
Is there a way to release the download link of an older version that still works?

Btw, the same bug exists in Chrome OS Flex for a long time with no reaction from Google. Very glad that you are working on fixing this. Trying together to keep older devices out of the landfill.
