Surface Pro 5 Auto Rotate not working after sleep

Please describe the problem you’ve encountered in detail:

  • Description: The Surface Pro 5 will not auto rotate the screen after sleep. It all works fine after a fresh reboot. It will switch into and out of tablet mode fine either by folding the keyboard or removing it. When I do a fresh reboot it will rotate just fine. After a long sleep it will no longer auto-rotate. The auto-rotate is still enabled in the control center in the bottom right corner of the screen.

It’s normal in surface-Linux. Just use seconds to reboot. It’s the easiest way to resolve this.
