I’m using FydeOS 19 and have a Thinkpad X1 Carbon. The system goes into sleep without going into full hibernation mode so it will slowly deplete the battery.
I am familiar with linux as I use Gentoo and know how to compile kernels and such. Is this a kernel tweak or a bootloader string? How can I properly setup power savings for thinkpad?

I have encrypted luks swap partitions for other distros, could i utilize them?
Update. I put my Thinkpad X1 Carbon 5th Gen into suspend lastnight. Woke up with 98 percent battery. Went into deep sleep all night.
