Play services issue with every upgrade

Please describe the problem you’ve encountered in detail:

  • Description:
  • Hello, I just upgraded from fydeos 18.1 to 19 (even payed the fee because I didn’t want to install from scratch) but again, the android apps/play services aren’t working after that.
  • I get tons of notifications from the android apps that play services is needed and needs installation but once I click on the message, it doesn’t install.
  • I already uninstalled/fixed/reinstalled opengapps, but no success with it.
  • last time I ended up in a clean reinstallation, but that can’t be the way it’s meant to be.
  • I also got 3 additional Google kids accounts, having the same issues , but also don’t even have the chance to install opengapps…
  • please help

After upgrade, open android settings to see whether the android subsystem works. If it works, just reinstall open gapps. If not, uninstall open gapps. What you can’t do is to install open gapps when the android is not working. It will break the system. Every time you upgrade the system, you have to reinstall open gapps. But you have to figure out whether the android is working first.

I recommend to uninstall open gapps first then upgrade the system. In the new version, you install open gapps again. It will avoid problems.
