Please describe the problem you’ve encountered in detail:
Description:
I updated to FydeOS 19 from 17.1, expecting improvements. Found that I can no longer use most of my apps.
I was expecting to need to update the GApps and Linux system. No problem, both are easy to do. Except now Developer Mode is disabled after updating to v19… and requires UEFI to enable. I thought my laptop was already in UEFI mode but it was indeed in Legacy. Changed to UEFI, and now I get “Secure Boot Failed” when trying to boot FydeOS in UEFI mode.
So now I can’t update GApps on this installation. Basically ruining everything my laptop was for. Defeating the entire purpose of me using FydeOS, unless there’s a fix?
So:
- Is there anything I can try to fix the UEFI boot?
- Or is there another way around this developer mode issue?
- I PAID TO UPGRADE TO FYDEOS 19. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. Just an observation.
- All else fails, is there an easy way to downgrade back to FydeOS 17 without losing all of my apps, setup, and files?
