FydeOS 4U - SurfacePro4 -Stylus note app

:pushpin:In the settings panel for the stylus there is a setting for “Note-taking app” but the setting simply says “None available”. Are there any note-taking apps that can be started from the stylus on the shelf?

It’s due to ChromeOS/FydeOS not having pre-installed note-taking app. Just browse through Chrome’s app named Cursive and you’ll be able to install it, then the setting for “Default note-taking app” in stylus’ page will be available and set to Cursive. Here’s the link : https://cursive.apps.chrome/

Keep is not detected as a note-taking app by ChromeOS

Thank you @Astraeon, yes it looks as though Cursive is the only app that will work. So the “default” label is a bit misleading. It’s a shame, Cursive is such a basic app and automatically opening a new note in Keep seems like such a trivial thing to do if Keep could be set as the default.

The Android version works.

Thank you @Carrie_Gu. Yes, it does! I had been using the desktop version of Keep and hadn’t thought to also install the Android version. The only slight disadvantage is that the Android version doesn’t support the “Grab image text” feature of the desktop version. But that is a small price to pay for the convenience of opening Keep at the tap of the pen.
