Other ioctl error repsonses addressed using a more reliable USB image burner, and ensuring different BIOS settings are set.
Please describe the problem you’ve encountered in detail:
- Description:
I have attempted about 10 installs on my Surface Pro 4 of the Fyde for you Surface Pro 4 image.
-I have ensured the downloaded image hash is correct, always extract the full .img file before burning, and am using the recommended Rufus on my windows laptop to do the burn.
-have attempted multiple installs from different USB drives,
-have checked the settings in BIOS multiple times.
-I have similar screenshots of the security and boot config menus, but as a new user cannot include them in this post. (limited to 1 media embedded)
I have tried many suggestions in the forum, including trying earlier versions of FydeOS (18.1).
-One of the odd things is about 1/2 the time when initially starting into the boot screen it gets stuck on the language select & doesn’t let me move forward to install. It automatically launches the hanidcap voice assist recording (“The screen reader on problocks is activated…”), and then sometimes let me proceed after the voice assist.
- Sometimes it lets me install but the install always errors out with
- ioctl error on BLKRRPART: Device or resource busy
Forum consensus seems to be that this is a BIOS setting, but there is no SATA option on the Surface pro 4 to adjust. Any suggestions?
