We are still attempting to upgrade the Android subsystem for the legacy version. If it ultimately proves impossible, the legacy version may reach EOL. In this case, FydeOS for Surface Pro 3 will be EOL too.
Hope you will find a solution. FydeOS is the best OS for the compatibility with the Surface pro 3 (with windows 10) and I think it’ s very important to keep the legacy compatibility.
Thanks for you answer.
Thanks. In that case, can I test V20 installing FydeOS for PC in my Surface Go 2? Would the Intel Modern version work? I have the Pentium Gold 4425Y version.
Looking at the Surface Linux compatibility table it should work fine as none of the built in hardware in the Surface Go 2 requires the Surface Linux Kernel.
what about the extra compatibility updates on v20, will yall, release something like a v19.1 before EOL, just so the last version has the best things it can?
Intel Slim installer work on Intel Legacy device (tested on Intel Core Gen 4). But, android subsystem run with any issue (blank screen when opening Android settings).
Tried on the Surface Go 2 and the machine was never able to boot from USB. Stayed in restart loop. Also tried on a Surface Pro 5. Was able to install on the Surface Pro 5 but WiFi didn’t work.
Brunch may have deprecated support of Skylake for the same reason, when i switched to fydeos. Rooting for you guys to figure it out, i’m trying to keep my legendary Chromebook Pro alive. A Debian just doesn’t compare, at least in tablet experience. ChromeOS Flex didn’t run when i made the switch either, but it may have just been some messed up bios settings and it could be a last resort. But i’ve been pleased with fydeos’s stability.
