Getting sound to work on a Dell Chromebook 11 3120 (P22T)

So this issue seems to be somewhat older at this point, though mostly unresolved and I believe we’re a few versions ahead from then.

So after installing FydeOS on a Dell Chromebook 11 3120 (model P22T - Bay Trail) and doing some further fixing here and there (touchpad wasn’t working, libinput fixed that), I realised that the sound isn’t working.

Strangely enough, the system does recognise whenever headphones are plugged in and the volume can be adjusted normally. Doing some further hardware checks does reveal the hardware to be recognised as well (I currently don’t have screenshots available, will post if required of course).

Unfortunately, messing around with drivers and driver configs within a Linux(-like) environment isn’t my area of expertise, so I was wondering if anyone could perhaps point me towards the right direction. Perhaps a driver swap may help? I read some posts about that, though they didn’t have much luck with it at the time.

Throwing the system specs in because why not:

:computer:System & Device Information

  • Hardware & System Configuration:
    • Processor: Intel Celeron N2840
    • Graphics Card: No discrete card.
    • RAM: 4GB
    • FydeOS Version: 19.0 (Legacy)

Thanks in advance!
