Installation - Connected to WIFI or ethernet but no internet

I’m unable to access the internet during the FydeOS installation process. While the system shows that I am connected to the network, there is no actual internet access.

What I’ve Tried:

  • WiFi connection to a known good router
  • Ethernet connection using the built-in port
  • USB-to-Ethernet dongle
  • Changing DNS to 8.8.8.8 (even though I know the default DNS is working fine)
  • Tried both the “slim” and “legacy” versions of FydeOS with the same result

I’m submitting this support request from the same laptop running Linux Mint, where networking works perfectly. So this is not a hardware or router issue.

Installer Versions Tried:

  • FydeOS_for_PC_slim_v20.0-SP1-io-stable.bin

Same problem persists: connection is established but no internet.

Hardware Specs:

  • Laptop Model: Acer V3-771G-6662
  • SSD: 1TB (upgraded)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-3230M @ 2.6GHz
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Wireless: Qualcomm Atheros AR9462 Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)
  • Ethernet: Qualcomm Atheros AR8151 v2.0 Gigabit Ethernet (rev c0)
  • Motherboard: Acer VA70_HC
  • Graphics: Intel 3rd Gen Core Processor Graphics

Request:

Any known issues or workarounds for this kind of network failure during installation?
Is there a version of FydeOS that includes the necessary firmware for Atheros chipsets, or a way to load them during install?

Thanks in advance.
