Stuck on boot loop / Can't install FydeOS :(

Please describe the problem you’ve encountered in detail:

  • Description: When I boot into my USB drive, the laptop restarts every time. I have used this exact USB Drive to flash DSL 2024, Linux Mint, Zorin OS, Vanilla OS, Ubuntu, Elementary OS, Windows Vista, Windows Vienna (community mod of Vista), WIndows 7, WIndows 10 and Windows 11. I have had this issue before too and yes, I am 100% sure I am choosing the correct image. Also I’ve flashed Chr OS Flex and that worked and Brunch Framework too, but brunch didn’t work as well and only ran from the usb.

    • Processor: Intel Celeron N5100
    • Graphics Card(Please specify if there’s a discrete graphics card): None/Integrated Graphics
    • RAM: 16GB

I haven’t tried the slim version yet, but I’ve found the issue. FydeOS v20 broke uefi booting so If I tried to boot from legacy I’d boot without any problems, but my laptop does not support legacy boot so I have to find v19

I’m not sure what you mean by ‘broke UEFI booting’. FydeOS does not support Legacy boot; all of our test machines are configured for UEFI boot and have v20 installed. Therefore, we haven’t encountered a situation where UEFI booting was broken, as you’re describing.

V19 also doesn’t work so I’m trying v18 and if that doesn’t work I’m out of ideas
