FydeOS on Thinkpad X270 *Issues*

I’m trying to install FydeOS on my ThinkPad X270 (Intel i5-7300U), but I’m stuck. I used Balena Etcher to flash the USB (modern version of FydeOS), but when I boot from it, the screen stays black or gives an “EFI terminate” error. Secure Boot is disabled, I tried both UEFI and Legacy modes, and I even created a dedicated FAT32 EFI partition (500MB) and a 20GB EXT4 partition for FydeOS. No matter what I try, the installation either fails or gets stuck on a black screen. My system runs Windows fine in BIOS/Legacy mode.

I attempted installing FydeOS v17 on my ThinkPad X270 (i5-7300U) hoping it would work better than the modern version. I created a 20GB EXT4 partition and a 500MB FAT32 partition. The installer detected only the 20GB, and in EFI drop down menu only “sda” shows but i can’t select it. The installation failed. At the end, it said something like:

installation to "/dev/loop12" complete. please shutdown and reboot

But after rebooting, nothing happens — FydeOS doesn’t boot. I’ve tried all three bootloader options (rEFInd, add UEFI boot option, and manual config) with the same result. Still stuck.

Thanks for the help.
I just installed the the v20 after struggling with 69+ problems lol.
UEFI conversion, Open Gapps, manual boot list entry for fyde os etc. finally its running but the problem is some apps detect that its not google play protect certified so i can’t used them like snapchat, whatsapp etc.

Cool OS kinda like it
