Hi FydeOS team and community,

I’m having trouble enabling the Linux environment on FydeOS. When I try to launch the Linux terminal, I get the following error:

Launching vmshell failed: Error starting crostini for terminal: 52 (INSTALL_IMAGE_LOADER_TIMED_OUT)

Previously, Linux was stuck at “Checking the virtual machine”, but now it gets past that and shows this error instead.

Is there a way to resolve this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Hardware & System Configuration:

    • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5500U with Radeon Graphics
    • Graphics Card(Please specify if there’s a discrete graphics card): -
    • RAM: 24GB
    • FydeOS Version: 20

  • Relevant System Logs:

    • Open the Chromium browser and enter /var/log/messages to retrieve logs.
    • Log Details:
      log.txt (1.7 MB)
