  • Description:
I tried downloading FydeOS 20 (AMD Graphics Variant) and I used Rufus to flash it to my USB Flash Drive 2.0 with 16 GB storage. The laptop I’m using is an Aspire 3 15 model no. n23c3 with AMD Radeon Graphics. I went to BIOS and turned off Secure Boot and set the USB to boot first. I then tried to boot into the USB. It was a bit slow to start up, then I selected to try on USB, I connected to WiFi, and then made a FydeOS Account. It then tried to log in to it but it showed the error “Unable to mount cryptomite. Check your keyboard layout.” (I typed the error from memory) I tried logging in to my Google Account, but after entering my email (it didn’t show a password box) I tried pressing “Sign in” but it was grayed out. I then tried a FydeOS account again but the same error. Then a local account and again the same error.

:computer:System & Device Information

  • Hardware & System Configuration:
    • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 7520U
    • Graphics Card(Please specify if there’s a discrete graphics card): AMD Radeon
    • RAM: 16 GB DDR4 RAM
    • FydeOS Version: 20

If you would like to try on a USB drive, please make sure to use at least a USB 3.0 device. USB 2.0 is too slow and may cause issues during the process.

This one seems more promising. You can have a try but no one can ensure.

Ok thanks Will try in a week

I got FydeOS to work now! Thank you all. I figured i don’t need FydeOS and could just use Linux Mint. Bye FydeOS!
