Install FydeOS on laptop with ChromeOS Flex?

:pushpin:I installed ChromeOS flex on my laptop a few hours ago but have since discovered that this laptop isn’t supported for wifi or connecting to mobile hotspot. I installed it, so it’s not running off the USB drive.

I am not technically minded, maybe once a year I work on installing things, please bear with me:

  • Is it possible at all to install FydeOS on this laptop, while it has ChromeOS Flex on it?
  • If not possible, which other OS is simple/light enough to consider. I use my laptop to work online all the time, and won’t be installing software etc.

  • Hardware & System Configuration: HP laptop 15-bw0xx SOC7G7UM
    • Processor: Intel 7th Gen Core Processors
    • Graphics Card(Please specify if there’s a discrete graphics card): AMD A4-9120 Rdeon R3
    • RAM: 4GB
    • FydeOS Version: AMD Graphics version

Every different model has a different situation. You may try it out on yourself. To choose the right variant, please refer to this document. If the AMD Graphics variant won’t boot, the Intel Modern might be a choice. But you’d better disable your discrete GPU before trying the Intel Modern variant.
