Won't let me reinstall because it never stops powerwashing?

How do I get past powerwashing on a multiboot system? I have already deleted the partition I choose for FydeOS after installation failed. This is some real crap …

It’s likely that some FydeOS bootloader files are still left in your EFI partition, even though you’ve deleted the main partition. That’s what keeps triggering the powerwash loop.

Try mounting the EFI partition and removing the FydeOS entries, or clean up the NVRAM boot records (e.g. with efibootmgr).

I checked the EFI partition before making my post. No files or folders there unless they are hidden in the Microsoft folder. My notebook should be super clean after 25 washings, lol. I’m about to give up on this OS, too many bugs. I was never able to complete my first installation and could not even boot the .img twice. Who knows where it has hidden files on my multipartian drive ???

You should just give up fydeos. I’ve been on the forum for so many years and have never seen anyone else encounter the same problem as you. It’s obvious that it was caused by your own actions.

The installation locked up while installing to an empty formatted ext4 partition and I cannot achieve an installation because of this failed powerwashing upon boot from USB. No fault of my own, but think as you like. There are no files in the EFI folder except the required Windows 11 entries and there are no Rogue entries in the firmware boot list. FydeOS is apparently detecting it own failed attempt at installation and also failing to clean it. I certainly can’t find what it put on the computer and I’m not wiping my hard drive, only the partition. Solves nothing.

There are no Rogue Entries to Cleanup. ???
