Please describe the problem you’ve encountered in detail:

  • Description:
    Black screen, no logo on install media

:computer:System & Device Information

  • Hardware & System Configuration: Toshiba Portege Z30-C

    • Processor:
    • Intel Core i7-6500U
    • Graphics Card(Please specify if there’s a discrete graphics card):
    • Intel HD 520
    • RAM: 8 GB
    • FydeOS Version: v20

  • Relevant System Logs:

    • Open the Chromium browser and enter /var/log/messages to retrieve logs.
    • Log Details: cant get any

Turn of legacy load rom in ur bios and try gpt and uefi

Please ensure that:

  1. Secure Boot is switched off.
  2. The correct variant is selected (for your device, it should be Intel Modern).

Have you tried booting other Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu) successfully?

Secure boot is off i did select intel modern and chrome os flex works

Did you try booting in Legacy mode? If so, switch to UEFI mode. Otherwise, the issue may be related to your USB disk (USB 3.0 is recommended).

i only use uefi and the usb stick is fine it worked before & it works now

Have you checked the integrity of the system image after downloading?
