I have the same problem. Tried to follow this guide and flash the tablet, tried it from Windows and Linux as well.
On Windows, if I extract the bin file from the currently downloadable zip file and try to open it in the Flash Tool, it quits unexpectedly (the app shuts down). If I rename it to img, as the guide suggests, it throws me an error message when opening.
In Linux, the flashing also don’t even start, complaining about invalid loader file.
Is it possible that the current image is corrupted? Please check if you can. 
Or any other ideas?

You may try this.
Ran the script manually and it converted my tab successfully. This article has escaped my attention. Thanks very much for the help!
