on both my lenovo older laptops, most android apps fail to launch, they stall at opening and then report [app not responding]

Have you searched the community for related issues?

Please describe the problem you’ve encountered in detail:

I have been able to get gmail to work, but most games and apps, even simple ones like PBS Kids fail to start. It feels like an initializing error, but i don’t know where to look to troubleshoot.

I don’t have a solution, but maybe this will help narrow down where to look.

I am having this issue, as well, but taking it a step further, I have the same app (MixingStation - used to control a digital audio mixer) in two versions: a .deb version installed in the Linux container, and the .apk version installed in the Android container.

BOTH have internet access (I was able to download licences via the internet in the app), however neither has access to the local network inorder to control the devices that I need the app for on my local network.

Both apps work just fine on a ChromeOS device. My suspicion is that for security reasons, those containers aren’t allowed local network access. There must be a way to tweak those containers to restore access.
