Hello I am nice to this and have followed all the instructions on the YT video about dual booting on Surface Go. It currently only boots via USB and even if I go through the installation into the second partition and it successfully installs, as soon as I pull the USB out, the Refinder option screen doesn’t show and it only boots into Windows. When I go into BIOS I don’t even see FydeOS there, it only works when the USB is installed. I’ve made safe bitlocker and safe start is turned off and have followed all the steps, just not sure what more I can do… It seems like it’s just installing onto the second partition or the UEFI is not installing? Thanks so much!
Hey I’m not too technical but I have surface go 1 so not sure what these instructions mean, the original YT video seemed to make it so easy and worked for everyone else so not sure why my Surface go doesn’t play nicely, thanks
As Windows continues to update, it has become increasingly restrictive, preventing other systems from booting. The same applies to other Surface devices as well.
