Widevine not installing Surface Go 4

Hi,
I’m really excited that FydeOS now is available on surface go 4. I already installed it and i have detected 2 issue:

  1. I cannot install widevine file because even though the app “my files” works and see the downloaded and uncompressed widevine file, the file picker under FydeOS settings > Miscellaneous> enable widevine pop up window does not detect any files. It does see the whole folders structure. It shows downloads folder l, play files, Google drive, but only the folders. It doesn’t show any file in neither location. However as i said the separate my files app can see the files and manipulate them

  2. Second problem is that while navigating on the browser and some android apps with the keyboard attached and using the mousepad with the arrow, in some headers menu the mouse doesn’t click the menu, like if the left clock of the mouse doesn’t work on the headers and menu of some android apps. I can only clock on then by touching the screen with my finger. And it only happens on the headers menu of websites and Android apps because of i click with the mouse on the content is the website it does work but for the menu i have to touch it

Right now, the state of my surface go 4 is:
System State — final summary

:heavy_check_mark: Dual-boot FydeOS + Windows working

:heavy_check_mark: Rootfs: rw (safe on FydeOS)
:heavy_check_mark: Developer Mode: ON
:heavy_check_mark: Root access: Available (sudo -i)
:heavy_check_mark: Play Store: Working
:heavy_check_mark: Android subsystem (ARCVM): Working
:heavy_check_mark: Linux container: Working
:heavy_check_mark: Tablet functionality: Unaffected
:x: Widevine in Chrome: Not supported on this version

Everything else is clean.

Can you please update FydeOS for surface go 4 with the fix to install widevine or how can i fix it?

Regards,

Drag the SO file to the download folder, and then load this file.

Yes, i did that. But that’s not the problem. As i mentioned, the problem is that i cannot load the file because the file picker is not detecting any files not only on downloads but in any other location.

Do you have any other suggestions?

I don’t understand your problem. Maybe you should upload a video. This should only show the SO file it could use, not any other files. So you should drag the SO file out of the original folder, directly under the download file.

Hi, you were right and I was making a mistake. I had put all the extract folder, which includes de SO file, inside Downloads. My problem was that i was thinking the so file was at the Downloads folder level and it was showing up. But it as simple as navigating to the right sub-folder where the SO file was and open it. Thank you again. It worked now.
