Hi, im new within fydeOS and i want to install it, i have tried the intel modern iso of fydeOS v22 and it cant boot, i selected the usb and its just a black blank screen, what should i do now?
Heres also my laptop specs:
Dell Vostro 14-3468
CPU: i5-7200u
RAM: 16gb
GPU: AMD Radeon R5 M420
SSD: 240gb
Try the AMD variant.
I have tried, still a black blank screen. I have also tried older versions, disabling the AMD gpu and install the intel modern version, still no hope. What should i do next?
Have you tried disabling your discrete graphics card in BIOS? Or are you using a usb 2.0 disk?
Oh yeah, im using a usb 2.0 with the usb 2.0 port on my laptop. Also my BIOS setting doesnt have the section to disable the dGPU. Maybe using usb 2.0 port was the issue?
Also, should i use a usb 3.0 on a usb 2.0 port and maybe it will fix the problem?
Using a USB 3.0 drive in a USB 2.0 port won’t help much. USB 2.0 has very slow I/O, which often causes a long black screen after the BIOS screen. If the hardware is compatible, it should eventually boot if you wait a bit. If it still doesn’t, the device may not be supported by FydeOS.
I have also tried, this time with a AMD variant v20 iso, it booted a black blank screen and after a while, i see it rebooting back to my windows. What the hell is the problem now
turn off safe boot and then select the drive
