Surface pro 4 wont install v22- Wont boot to the usb iso.

Please describe the problem you’ve encountered in detail:

  • Description:
    I am trying to use a surface pro 4 to install v22 or find a older version like v19 to install. I have tried turning off all cameras via the surface bios and secure boot is off. I have also tried using etcher v 1.18 as well as newer version of etcher and rufus. Keeps just boot looping until it finally says there isn’t anything to boot from. I was able to get v19 slim loaded but none of the surface drivers are there so WIFI and Bluetooth and touch screen wasn’t working for me. I saw downloads for older versions in the forms but none for the surface pro 4. If anyone has links to v19 that I could try for the surface pro 4 or know of any fixes I could try to get v22 working let me know.

Which cpu? Surface Pro 4 has different configurations.

It might be that the high-end version of the Pro 4 is not compatible. FydeOS previously mentioned that they only purchase the base configuration of each model for testing, so the higher-end versions may have compatibility issues.

I was able to pull up and get the v19 slim running but it didn’t have the drivers for the surface for a lot of its features. I would like to try running the v19 for the surface 4 but I was unable to find a copy.

I was able to find a link by making some edits to try v19.1 I’m going to try this one and see if I can get it to boot.
