how can i fix wrong date and time synchronization in fyde os v22

  • Hello everyone , i neeed help regarding the wrong synchronization of time zone as well as geolocation.actally my Time Zone is India (GMT+5:30)
    & when im writing this the timezone in my laptop is (UTC-5:00) Central Daylight Time (Chicago) It is 11:00 AM in Chicago. like in morning in india it automatically switches to dark theme and in night it switches to light theme.

my laptop has GPS and inearlier fyde os version it used to detect my exact location but in v22 google maps is unable to detect my location like whats going on.

i also tried to manually change time zone it just appears at bottom actual indian time but the system follows the same chicago time for auto dark/light theme.

and one last thing when i connect my fyde os device to my mobile hotspot everything here works perfectly time is synchronized and also auto dark/light theme works perfectly.

FydeOS determines the timezone based on the public IP address of your network, not GPS. The IP location comes from a free public IP database, which may sometimes be inaccurate.

The issue you are seeing is most likely because the IP address provided by your internet provider is incorrectly mapped in the database. You can try restarting your router to obtain a new IP address.

i did that too but still it did not work work for me as you said me to restart router. date and time synchronisation is still mismatched.
but the same wifi works perfectly on my Tablet without issues
and one more thing when i cheecked my ip adress it showed NewDelhi which is in india.

i guess its a system issue like its overwriting its preset timezone as Chicago
at system level itelf.

so please give other ways of fixing this issue

Our testing team has checked this by changing the IP through a VPN, and the system was able to detect the time zone automatically. Therefore, this does not appear to be a system issue, and we have not been able to reproduce the problem on our side.

Yah it worked for me too but it is not working past two days

I suspect the issue might be that the free IP database is not working properly for some IP addresses in India, since you mentioned that it works fine when using your mobile network. v22 has been released for a long time not two days. Therefore, the issue is not caused by the v22 update.

Thank you sir for adressing actual problem, But what can i do next to fix this, its very frustating.
It would be better if there was a manual option to set auto Dark/Light Theme. by the way Is there any other approach to resolve this issue
