Please describe the problem you’ve encountered in detail:
- Description: Hello so I had been using ChromeOS on brunch and I used FydeOS v19 on my Hp Notebook 250 G8 CPU 11th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-1165G7 and storage NVME Intel SSDPEKNU 512GZH
I have the Intel Irias Xe and no dGPU. I tried Balena Etcher with the .bin.zip and the extracted .img
I tried rufus .bin.zip, .bin and .img
I verified the checksum and my usb works correctly and did not try ventoy.
I use KDE Partition manger and restored the .img into the USB and got a broken grub with no images.
I have disabled TPM secure boot and verified my disk does not use raid and does not support optane.
I have tried using refind to boot to the usb but same issue a blavk scren for a couple seconds followed by a restart and when setting the usb to primary a boot loop.
I asked Gemini 3.1 Thinking and Chat GPT and both agreed on one thing
Intel VMD Secure Boot and Raid be off
I could not figure out where fast boot is located or Intel VMD
So is this issue tied to the CPU or storage and if I remove the NVME and install it will it work?
There is not option for fast boot as in the video on the bios and no option to see ACHI or intel vmd so IS this simply not possible and I have to stick with v19?
Also, when installing windows, it does ask for the drivers
and it does have VMD on the name but in the BIOS no such thing is present I can’t figure out if it’s on or off. I need help to know if that’s the issue I got this quote from an ASUS users same CPU but not SSD “Yes, disable irst, secure boot, fast boot, resetting my bios to stock fixed it”
The other 2 HP users did not reply or say if the issue is fixed and did not recive support. THank you for your time help and work.

- FydeOS Version:This issue is relevant on FydeOS v20 and higher. The change was introduced on v20 and unknown but it causes the issue.
