I’m having an issue where the tablet refuses to accept my pin or password. “Your pin couldn’t be verified. Try again. Hit Control-Shift-Space to switch keyboard layout/Your passwordcouldn’t be verified. Try again. Hit Control-Shift-Space to switch keyboard layout”. I only get 2 attempts to enter them before it tells me “Something went wrong with signing in. Please restart your device to fix this error” so I KNOW it knows there’s a problem because any time I’ve been fat fingered before it gives me multiple attempts to enter the correct credentials and if I keep going it just locks my account for a while.
I have some stuff on this that isn’t synced to anywhere so I’d rather not blitz it back to factory defaults, any ideas?
The only thing I can think is that I set up a local account and then later I signed in to a fydeos account on that same local account to try some of the ai features.
I was able to log in after that, but then the device was off for a week or so she I couldn’t log in when I tried, so I don’t know if there’s some kind of conflict.
The account still shows as a local account on the login screen but it won’t accept either the pin, password or the password for the fydeos account. And even the way it’s behaving, only accepting two attempts before forcing a reboot, suggests there’s more going on.
It seems to be an issue on Chromeos too but all the resolutions seem to rely on the fact the account is a Google account rather than a local one.
