All versions of FydeOS above 19 cannot install the Android subsystem…

As I figured out you are unable to get versions of Chromium above 126
FydeOS 19 to install Android.

Have you searched the community for related issues?

  • Description:
    Gapps does not work in FydeOS 22…

:computer:System & Device Information

  • Hardware & System Configuration:
    • Processor: Intel Core i5
    • Graphics Card(Please specify if there’s a discrete graphics card):
      Intel HD Graphics 5500 & discrete NVIDIA nVIDIA N15-GM
    • RAM:16 GB RAM
    • FydeOS Version: 22, cannot install Android sub system so far.
  • Relevant System Logs:
    • Open the Chromium browser and enter /var/log/messages to retrieve logs.

It’s a 5th Gen Intel CPU. So you have to stick to v19.

As shown on the download page, FydeOS v22 only supports 6th-gen Intel devices and newer.

For devices with a 5th-gen Intel CPU, it is expected that the Android subsystem cannot be enabled. In this case, the only available option is to use the v19 Intel Legacy version.

Sure, how about the Mac mini 2018 computer, it has an Intel i7 core processor, but I couldn’t install Android in it either :face_with_spiral_eyes::thinking:

For devices with 6th generation or newer Intel Core processors, the Intel Modern version can generally enable the Android subsystem successfully. If you run into issues, please provide the full device specifications for further analysis.

Support for Mac devices in FydeOS is limited, and in most cases the network adapter is not supported.

I also has the same problem

Installed fyde os 22

Laptop spec i5 6200u
8gb ddr4 ram
1tb hdd

Nvidia is disabled
Rootfs disabled
Changed every other setting
Didn’t know exactly what they are
Something called uefi, ump only

And fyde os chat itself says not to install slim as it has compatability issue with my spec

Still stuck at loading for more than 30 minutes

Done power wash 3 times, tried 6 times for this and spend more than 7 hours on this.
