Googlebook "Aluminium" | What will be changed in fydeOS?

Hi Fyde (Community),

But let’s talk about the elephant in the room: Google’s recent “fratricide” of ChromeOS. With Googlebooks on the horizon and the shift toward the new Android-powered “Aluminium OS” foundation, it looks like classic ChromiumOS is slowly being sent to the retirement home.

Since Google is putting all the cool new desktop features straight into the open-source Android (AOSP) codebase, I’ve been wondering about your game plan.

Are you guys secretly planning to ditch the old ChromiumOS skeleton and rebuild FydeOS on top of this new Android desktop framework?

Honestly, you’ve been mastering the art of forcing Android apps onto PC hardware for years, so you’re basically the perfect fit for this new era. It would be a shame to let Google have all the fun!

Would love to hear a quick teaser of your roadmap, or at least a sign that you’re ready to conquer the Aluminium era.

I hope this isn’t the end of Fyde.

Bye,

Robin Ari Hanazay

the question would be if they continue with this project because its great.
Of course we might have a similar brunch for aluminium but something tells
me that google’s specs won’t be so low to let them run on older machines.
