Please describe the problem you’ve encountered in detail:
- Description: I’m using a Dell Universal Hybrid Video Dock, which is a DisplayLink-based dock. On FydeOS, USB peripherals, Ethernet, and dock audio all work (it’s detected as a USB device), but there is no video output through the dock — external monitors connected to it are never detected. As far as I can tell, the DisplayLink stack (the
evdikernel module plus DisplayLink’s userspace driver) is not included in FydeOS, and since the rootfs is read-only there’s no way for me to add it myself. Is there any supported or community method to get DisplayLink output working on FydeOS — or is DisplayLink support on the roadmap? For clarity: DP alt-mode output via the laptop’s Thunderbolt 4 port works fine natively, so this is specifically about the DisplayLink video path.
