Android games look lower quality after upgrade to v23

This isn’t exactly a big issue but I’m still wondering if it can be fixed, in games like clash royale, the quality was crystal clear and was very high quality. after the upgrade from 22 to 23, while I had noticed there’s less stutters and runs very smoothly, everything looks more pixelated, and small text is now barely readable, I’ve tried looking to see if anyone else had the same issue and no dice. any help would be appreciated!!

my system is a surface go 1st gen running FydeOS For You with a valid license

To help Android apps run smoothly on devices with 4GB of RAM, Android games currently run at a lower resolution by default. We’ll add an option to adjust the resolution in a future update, so you can choose a higher or lower resolution based on your device’s specifications.

I do understand that, but my specific surface model is the 8gb model…

If you’re comfortable using the command line, you can adjust ro.fydroid.game_render_scale in /usr/share/arc/properties. Otherwise, you can wait until we introduce an easier way to adjust it in a future update.

that worked! everything went well without a hitch except the need to refresh the GMAS, thank you so much!

I tried editing that file and it was blank…?

I also tried entering that file in Browser and got " Access to the file was denied"…

If you don’t know how to resolve this, don’t proceed. You could break the system if you don’t know what you are doing.

And I might learn something – scary, huh?

How do I proceed?

mount -o remount rw /

In order to run that command I must be su, and according to FydeOS instructions (https://fydeos.io/help/knowledge-base/developer-options/developer-mode/terminal-basics-guide/) I should enter “sudo -i” in the Terminal, which gives me the error of “Failed to connect to bus: No medium found”. I see mention of Fyde v6 on that page, has this command been outdated?
