Hi. I’ve just installed v18.1 on a Raspberry Pi4 and all seems ok except. Gapps/Play Store
Firstly I don’t see the developer mode toggle in steering however I can still access the shell. Once in the shell I don’t see crossystem_mode-switch in /usr/sbin.
When I try to launch the play store it asks me to sign-in a large progress wheel starts to rotate and eventually hang.
my problem is accessing the shell, hitting the key combination CRTL + ALT + T is not doing anything and in the logs it seems crossystem_mode-switch is missing.
Its a ket combination not a text u write down.
So you open the chromium browser and press ctrl key + alt key + t
Crosh will pop up. But that command above u mentioned is for chromeOS not fydeos. Follow the first post guide it has it all explained.
If you are using openfyde u cant install google store.
If you are using fydeOS you can just follow the process.
well thank you for thinking I do not know what I am doing. As I wrote:
Chromium Browser is running, but the key combination CRTL + ALT +t is NOT working nothing pops up.
I have a surface Pro 8.
I did download the open_gapps-x86_64-9.0-stock-20220503.zip and will try to unzip and go with that. Because me Surface Pro 8 has an Intel chip installed, which is under AMD64 or x86_64 and not ARM processor
No I have not changed the key shortcuts.
But I have a bluetooth keyboard (there is another post becaus of no mouse pointer). That bluetooth keyboard is designed for Surface Pro 8 / X.
With powerwash I will reset everything and loose all the data correct? is there a way to check if Crosh is installed and up and running?
Theres no FydeOS without Crosh. it is there.
Try another keyboard also and I will repeat this - theres not much you can dig inside crosh. Maybe if u explain what is it u wanna do in it…
If it’s not the original keyboard, it should be that the Ctrl and Alt are not recognised correctly, I suggest you try different keys to find the correct Ctrl and Alt. Or find a regular USB keyboard.
well I want to do is very simple as it is described in the Title of this post.
I also tried the onscreen keyboard and that did do nothing as if I use that bluetooth keyboard, aftermarket for the Surface Pro 8 and X
I did use a different keyboard via USB C and that worked, so I will test and check to see if bluetooth or wireless keyboards are not being fully supported. That needs to be fixed.
using https://stendec.io/yakt/ Yet Another Keyboard Tester it shows that CRTLs, ALT, ALTGR are not working.
When I have the onscreen keyboard open also those keys are missing. May I assume when changing the onscreen keyboard layout (if possible) it will also allow me to use those keys on the Wireless K17 Pro?
Idk why they use andriod… but it hasnt been just on fyde that I see that typo… other asian forums write andriod other than android … lol idk why … maybe its how they pronounce it… ヽ((◎д◎))ゝ
As per my knowledge To install Open GApps. you will need to Switch to Developer Mode & Disable root filesystem verification. you can Install Open GApps via the FydeOS App Store.
yes I was able to install it and it broke my android subsystem. the keyboard I am using with my Surface Pro8 is an aftermarket bluetooth keyboard and all the keys CRT, ALT, etc do not work at all.
quick note. I got the original Microsoft keyboard for the Surface Pro 8 with the slim pen2 and both work 100%, aka with CTRL+ALT+T I can get into the terminal crosh. the touchpad also work with left and right mouse click, plus the slim pen 2 also works.
