hi, i did step 1 & 2 succesfully, but when on step 3 and i try to instal and run. it stopped at 20%, and this the log :

tried using recovery image failed, try open gapps latest version a11 (NOT A13) signature error, try other gapps (based on opengapps) still error

Did you read it? According to the log you posted above, you didn’t follow the tutorial.

I’m having an issue with step 4 of disabling root write verification. When I execute the command:

/usr/sbin/crossystem_mode-switch.sh disable-rootfs-verification

I just get a “no such file or directory” error.

Developer mode is enabled as I can get into shell and execute the prior commands fine. UEFI is set in the BIOS and I have tried this now on the last 3 builds in historical releases as well as latest version.

This is on an Dell Intel i3 gen 4 laptop… everything else seems to be working fine but as a result Gapps doesn’t seem to work. It will install but will prompt you to sign in with another account when you open it (i.e. not the account you set during overall OS setup) and if you do try to enter the same account it says it already exists on the system.

I am assuming the root verification step is what is causing that issue in Gapps?

I am having the same issue. I am using a Raspberry Pi5 which has Developer mode enabled by default.

/usr/sbin/crossystem_mode-switch.sh disable-rootfs-verification

I just get a “no such file or directory” error.

I have the same problem with a Raspberry Pi 4.
crossystem_mode-switch.sh is not found in /usr/sbin/

For ARM devices, you can install it directly without the first two steps.

‘Getting el play store installed’

  1. Activate developer mode
  2. Activate android subsystem
  3. Cntrl+alt+T
  4. Write “shell” and enter
  5. Write “sudo -i” and enter
  6. Write “/usr/sbin/crossystem_mode-switch.sh disable-rootfs-verification” and enter
  7. Reboot
  8. Open “store” and install gapps installer
  9. Open gapps installer And click that you agree with everything, click next and choose what you want to install Google Play
  10. Reboot
    Done!
    There may be a problem with the fact that notifications will pop up “update google play services to run google play” or “finish setting up your android” just turn off this notification
