Microsoft Surface Book 2 touchscreen problem

Hello everyone!
I found 1 similar problem, but no one answered, so I’m creating a new theme.

There is a Microsoft Surface Book 2, on which I installed FydeOS 19.0 as a second system and had a problem:

The touch screen doesn’t work. When working with the laptop base, the touchpad and keyboard work, but the touchscreen does not. I tried to disconnect the tablet from the base, but the problem did not disappear.

I also tried to install other versions and the problem was even worse:
FydeOS for PC:

  • Modern Intel 19.0. The touch screen, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth doesn’t work.
  • Legacy Intel 19.0. The touch screen, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth doesn’t work.

FydeOS For You:

  • Microsoft Surfece Pro 8. The touch screen doesn’t work. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are work correctly.
  • Microsoft Surface Pro 7+. The touch screen doesn’t work. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are work correctly.
  • Microsoft Surface Pro 7. The touch screen doesn’t work. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are work correctly.

 Does anyone have similar problems?

:computer: System & Device Information

  • Model: Microsoft Surface Book 2 (1703)
  • Processor: Intel Core™ i7-8650U
  • Graphics Cards: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 & Intel UHD Graphics 620
  • RAM: 16Gb
  • Wi-Fi adapter: Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Controller

Surface devices need surface-Linux kernel. So if you are using a surface device without a for you version, just give up. Fydeos for pc won’t work.

Thanks for the clarification. As you can see from my post, I tried the Surface versions, but the problem didn’t work out.

Should I just wait for the Microsoft Surface Book 2 version to be released?

As I see from the forum, people have problems with the touchscreen on the Surface too…

You should give it up. The team said before no intention to release versions for surface books.
