Activate android subsystem keeps loading - correct version?

Judging by similar posts, this is a common issue, but I’m confused about which version of FydeOS I should be using.

I’ve installed it on a HP 250 G4 Notebook with an Intel i5-5200U and Intel HD Graphics 5500 GPU.

Initially I was going to use the Intel Legacy OS as it states it’s for 5th gen CPUs which mine is, but under the Intel Modern OS, my CPU is listed.

So I used FydeOS_for_PC_iris_v21.0-io-stable.img for Intel Modern OS.
Everything works except when I want to use the Android app. I also enabled virtualisation in the BIOS.

Am I using the correct OS and/or missing anything else?

Thanks very much and hope you can help.

Try the slim version. Modern is for CPUs after 6th Gen. If the slim version does not work, you’ll have to use the legacy version.

Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately this is just turning out to be pants.

Intel Modern is the only one that successfully installed the OS but can’t use the Android section.

Intel Legacy can’t get past the Language and input method during set up because I can’t select anything other than move the cursor around. I’ve tried the track pad and a wireless mouse all to no avail.

Intel Slim just has a blank screen when starting the laptop.

Thanks again, I really appreciate it.
